BARLO Housing Ltd operates a property focused Landlord Accreditation Scheme which accredits individual properties. Accredited properties are more attractive to responsible tenants who value quality, affordable and well-managed properties.
Landlords who sign up with the Landlord Accreditation Scheme are declaring their commitment to meet and maintain a Code of Standards relating to property standards and tenancy management practices.
A verification process means a minimum of 10% of all properties registered with the accreditation scheme will be inspected. The accreditation scheme operator completes and issues to the landlord a BARLO Accredited Property Certificate [pdf] for properties, which it has confirmed, meet requirements. Properties that are not selected for an accreditation scheme inspection will be issued with an alternative Property Certificate [pdf].
Membership is free and landlords can apply by downloading and returning a BARLO Membership Application Form [pdf].
