New Security Grants Available
BARLO Housing Ltd has been successful in a bid for government funding to help make at least 200 private tenants homes more secure. The money enables Bolton Accredited & Residential Landlord Organisation to purchase and fit improved security products in tenants' homes. All installation work is carried out by a Bolton at Home approved contractor at no cost to either tenant or landlord.
This is just one part of a government programme to crackdown on burglary. Help us stop criminals taking advantage of these tough times by protecting your tenants and properties with stronger locks on doors, windows, and gates. BARLO will carry out a full security check; provide advice and further products as required including light timers, door viewers, mirrors and chains as required.

Central Heating Grants Extended
Government funded grants up to £3,500 to provide gas, electric, or oil fired central heating, and repairs are being offered to eligible private tenants, along with insulation improvements. Where gas central heating is installed, breakdown cover and an annual gas safety inspection is also provided for the first two years.
Private Landlords are being asked to encourage their tenants to apply for Warm Front Grants. Your property could benefit from improved insulation and heating, and your tenant will benefit from a warmer and healthier home, which is more economical to run.
